PR Springs into Action

Deerness Gymnastics Academy, a volunteer-led sports club, was about take over a former Council Leisure Centre to enable their award winning gymnasts to continue training in the North East. The Centre would then also become a community facility making gymnastics coaching available
to all ages from novice to elite level.

Deerness Gymnastics Academy approached DebSharratt Communications for assistance with generating publicity regarding the launch of the new Centre plus the new sessions that would help to make the Club commercially viable.

The club have also celebrated winning the British, European &
the World Championships for Team GB, and have won the ITV1 show 'Let's Get Gold'.

In a short space of time and with a limited budget the new Academy has featured in The Northern Echo, Durham Times, The Journal, Sunderland Echo, Shields Gazette, Evening Chronicle on several occasions and appeared on Sky Tyne & Wear, BBC TV Look North and Tyne Tees TV.
