Hall Hill Farm Wins National Tourism Award

A POPULAR tourist attraction in County Durham is celebrating after winning silver in a national tourism award. Hall Hill Farm, near Durham City, is the only tourist attraction in the North to feature on the best Visitor Attraction shortlist for either large or small visitor attractions, in the 2018 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. This news for Hall Hill Farm comes on top of 2017 being a record-breaking year for the popular Durham farm after increasing its visitor numbers by 15 per cent.

North East Dance Talent Back in the City

Two talented North East dancers return to the region later this month to perform at Dance City with the prestigious National Youth Dance Company (NYDC). “Used to be blonde” is now on tour across the country following its performance by NYDC at Sadler’s Wells earlier this year. The show which gained four star reviews, will bring 41 young talented dancers to Dance City on Saturday 30 June. Choreographed by artistic director, Sharon Eyal, this high-energy work is a performance by the National Youth Dance Company which creates and performs innovative and influential dance, bringing together the brightest talent, aged from 16 to 23, from across England, including this year, two dance students from Dance City in Newcastle.
