Deb Sharratt demonstrated a high standard of knowledge and experience in ethics, strategy and leadership during a full-day assessment, led by a team of senior industry professionals.
In addition to contributing to assessed group discussions, Deb evidenced a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by presenting a 2-year CPD plan to a peer group.
Commenting on the news Deb said: "I'm thrilled to join the exclusive club of Public Relations Chartered Practitioners. The challenge now is to make the club less exclusive by encouraging more PR professionals to #GetChartered & be able to proudly use Chart.PR after their name
"As we continue to drive towards becoming a predominantly Chartered profession this is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the skills and professional excellence that exists across the country and I would congratulate all those that become Chartered in Newcastle last week. With your new Chartered status you can confidently demonstrate your ability to operate strategically and have shown your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional practice," said CIPR President, Emma Leech Found.Chart.PR FCIPR
Founded in 1948, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is the Royal Chartered professional body for public relations practitioners in the UK and overseas. The CIPR is the largest membership organisation for PR practitioners outside of North America. By size of turnover and number of individually registered members, we are the leading representative body for the PR profession in Europe.
The CIPR advances professionalism in public relations by making its members accountable to their employers and the public through a code of conduct and searchable public register, setting standards through training, qualifications, awards and the production of best practice and skills guidance, facilitating Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and awarding Chartered Public Relations Practitioner status (Chart.PR).
